The three time All-Conference standout, Angela Sanders returns for her senior year and is back for one last go round with Penn State Abington's Nittany Lions. The double-double queen is quite the definition of teamwork as she hopes to lead her young group to a championship banner. With the team just clinching the playoffs, the finish seems to be just ahead..

Graduating from Mastery Charter School, a new level of college basketball came easy to Angela as she averaged 17.4 PPG and 10.1 RPG in her debut season. This included a 35 point and 17 rebound game versus St. Mary's College (MD), with a buzzer beater to help her team take home the victory. Despite having three new coaches for each season, Angela maintained her consistency, making a positive impact in every game through her college career. After recently passing the 1000 points and 800 rebounds mark of her colligate career and currently averaging 18.8 PPG,10.6 RPG with a 52 field goal percentage, her senior year appears to be the best one yet.

"I'm trying to pass the ball a lot more this year, so everyone can contribute to our success. The right passes create the right shots."

Being a notable face on Penn State Abington's scouting report, Angela knew the immense amount of pressure she would face in her last year. However she used this to her advantage, contributing a wealth of wisdom based on her extensive experience in this conference.

Every game showcases her immense basketball IQ and hustle, inspiring her teammates to do the same. It is apparent that she will do whatever it takes to win, even things that aren't recorded on the stat sheet. Whether it's diving on the floor for the loose ball or risking her body for a charge fall, this fearless Nittany Lion will do it all if it contributes to the victory.

Although there is uncertainty of where she plans to play after college, Angela makes it clear that she will never stop involving herself in the sport she loves. She continues to display her leadership abilities as she currently coaches the 7th and 8th grade Girls basketball team at Mastery Charter School. Getting her first win not that long ago, it is eveident that Angel impacts any game on or off the court. The team's current record is 3-2.

"Being able to impact a group of young girls feels incredible. I never thought I'd be able to do that at such a young age."

As her season unfolds, Nittany Lion fans and spectators continue to witness the relentless drive of excellence Angela Sanders possesses but have only seen the tip of the iceberg. Her journey to becoming a three-time All Conference player has been exciting to watch, but Angela is not content with individual accolades and would rather concentrate on securing the championship trophy.  The pursuit to a championship is not just personal goal, yet one shared by the team as they are each individually hungry for the banner. Angela is not just a standout athlete but a motivator, fearless competitor and leader and fans are gathered to see how the rest of the Nittany Lions season will unfold.

"I love basketball more than anything, I would love to play professionally anywhere; whether overseas, WNBA, anywhere it doesn't really matter. As long as I have a ball in my hand."
