With the prevention of the 2020 season due to the pandemic and the resignation of long time head coach Shayla Johnson, Penn State Abington Women's Basketball were in desperate need of a permanent, new coach. However, things began to turn around for the Nittany Lions when Abington's athletic director, Erin Foley, hired Megan Fox, to fill the position.

Megan Fox's first position in coaching was as an assistant coach at Wesley College in 2015 where the team's overall season record was 8-10. Shortly after , Fox would become a three-year head coach at SeaFord High School. The Blue Jays were only 2-18 upon first entry, but that didn't stop Fox from preserving, as Seaford ended 11-9 the following year. This also followed an opportunity for her to coach the all star game Delaware State University.
"I initially started coaching because I missed playing right out of college. My love for the game was so strong, I couldn't help but want to be around it. " .

After two years of coaching at Delaware Technical College, Fox arrived to the Abington campus eager to use the game of basketball to motivate and inspire yet another group of young women. After receiving their first win on her second game against Rosemont College, it's safe to say Fox fit in at Penn State Abington swiftly. Accompanied by her assistant coaches, Tierra White, Billy Warren and Thomas Dill, Fox was driven not only to win games but to demand the utmost effort from each player, inspiring them to achieve their full potential.
"I immediately knew I wanted to be a head coach. I knew I wanted my own team and young ladies need to see someone older than them leading by example."

Despite finishing 7-17 in the previous season, the Nittany Lions have high hopes. With the assistance of newcomers and returning players, Abington Women's Basketball is as eager as ever to make a comeback and is striving to accomplish a new banner.
"I want to build a culture centered around family morals and hard work. I want to focus on individual player development and continue building relationships with my players."
